How are pre-bonded hair extensions made? Last time we talked about how when we collect a lot of raw hair from hair collectors, the factory will wash it, then bleach it, and finally dye it to make hair bulk. This hair bulk is a semi-finished product. We store these semi-finished products in the warehouse and then produce them according to customer orders. In this article, we will discuss how to produce hair bulk into pre-bonded hair extensions. First, we will proportion different lengths of hair. For example, when we produce 18′ pre-bonded hair, we will extract a certain proportion of 18′, 16′, 14′, 12′, 10′, and 8′ from the semi-finished hair bulk, with the shortest hair length being about 8′. Then we will mix them according to the proportion to create a brand new hair bulk. In this new hair bulk, 18′ hair may account for about 60%-80%. Depending on the price set by the customer, this proportion may vary. For us at Diana Hair, this proportion is around 70%, and the remaining hair is mixed with the shorter hair. There are two reasons for this. First, it makes the entire hair bulk look more natural, as no one’s hair is the same length. Second, it can reduce some costs, as 12′ hair is much cheaper than 18′ hair. This is a highly competitive market. All manufacturers must find a balance between price and quality.

Next comes the actual hair extension process. Workers in the factory use a hot melt furnace to melt the glue and then create different pre-bonded hair according to customer needs. There are V-tip, I-tip, U-tip, and Flat tip. It is important to note that different pre-bonded hair has different application methods; you can Google or check YouTube for various application methods.

After the hot melt glue step is completed, it is time for the final packaging. We will package according to customer needs, with plain white packaging bags without any logos, custom packaging with the customer’s logo, some are 25/pack, and some are 50pcs/pack. In short, these will be based on customer requirements. Finally, we will ship the order to customers. That is the wholesale process regarding how to produce pre-bonded hair extensions.
